Default Disconnecting/Ejecting an Apple from a PC

I've networked together a Mac and a PC, but I can't disconnect them or "log off." I've put the Mac on the PC's workgroup, found it in Network Places on the PC, and logged on with my Mac username and password. What I want to do now is log off the Mac, eject it, dismount, disconnect, switch users, or whatever you want to call it.

Instead, even after restarting both computers, everytime I go back to the Mac in Network Places, I can get on without being prompted for a password again. I've tried deleting the Network Place and making a new one and typing in the Mac's IP address in Explorer. Both times, I can get in without being prompted for a password again.

Basically, I just want it so that when I log in again, it prompts me for a password -- this way I can switch users if necessary and be assured that no one is accessing my Mac from PC (it's a shared computer). I think Windows XP may have saved my password somehow and I need to get it to unsave it.

I'm using XP Home Edition and Mac OS X Panther in case that matters.

As far as I know, Appletalk support was discontinued on
XP. They recommend a product called PC MacLan.
