Cant access most websites.....

I have suddenly been unable to access most websites.
Several can be accessed, however numerous sites will not
come up. There appears to be no pattern (ie secured sites
vs. unsecured sites). I have deleted Spybot software
thinking that may be the cause but to no avail. Any
thoughts
