Default Cannot connect to VPN server from home PC

I have a VPN connection set up on an XP Home machine but am not able to connect to my office network through a DSL line. My internet connection is fine, and the VPN server is ok as well - I've had other people use my ID and password and they are able to connect. I am also able to ping the IP address of the server with no problem. I've double and triple-checked the parameters over and over as well as deleted and re-created new connections.

I'm getting the message "VPN server is unreachable - server is not available or security parameters on this computer are not properly configured".

Any ideas?
