Default Which brand?

Hello there, im looking to buy a router, to connect a cable broadband
connection to two pcs (will be growing in the near future) ive decided on a
wired network.
not sure which brand i should go for..as this is my first network. thinking
3com? linksys? Netgear? if anyone has any suggestions/pros/cons please say.
also is it worth going the extra mile for gigabit connection?

Thanks for all your help

Default Re: Which brand?

All the brands you mentioned are good ones, so shop for function and price.
