Default Authentication trouble

I have setup a basic intranet with Windows 2000 Server and IIS, added sharepoint services. This entire setup is a member of an Active Directory. All non-administrator users are getting prompted for a username and password whenever they try to add/change/delete information on the webserver. The users are already logged into the domain and can access a shared folder on the intranet server... What can I do so that they do not have to authenticate again???
