Default Adding a non XP machine (laptop) to my home network?

I am not real well versed in home networks yet other than
having 2 XP machines and a printer networked here at
home... I have my work laptop connected to my ISP and
connected through my DSL router, but I am not sure how to
add it to my network so that I can print from it? It is
connected to our corporate intranet via a VPN, and it is
a Windows 2000 Professional unit. Any suggestions as to
where I should start?

Thanks!
