Default Adding a computer to a home network

I am trying to add a Dell C640 computer using XP Pro to my home network. I
went through the steps to add it, but I can't get the network to recognize
the new laptop. I have added another computer that is running Vista without
any problem, but can't get this one added. Any suggestions?

Hi
Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings,
http://www.ezlan.net/sharing.html
As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what it is
allowed to be shared.
Vista File and Printer Sharing-

Basic XP -

Printer Sharing XP -

The problem is not sharing files, etc. I can't get the network to recognize
the computer.
