Default Writing is rough??

I re-installed Windows XP the other day and when Im in photo editing or
office programs and I go over the 20ish size mark all my text gets rough and
horrible it never used to happen so how can I fix it?
As I need it a lot as I need to do some graphics for my website and need
smooth writing.
Please help.

Did you install the correct video driver? That most likely is the problem.

Yes because I just used my recovery disc that came with my laptop.
