The above was with IE6, btw. Not much luck under Windows 7 and IE8.
Played the audio, but no video. Tried the following and no changes:

1) With K-Lite Mega 4.95 installed

2) Without K-Lite Mega 4.95 installed

3) With K-Lite Mega 5.40 installed

Plays nicely on Gom player , vista .

Tried the same under another Windows 7 machine with IE8 and the same
thing. This one has K-Lite Mega 5.0.0 installed.

In that case, I definitely agree with PA Bear; you would do better here:

microsoft.public.windowsmedia.player
