Default "Wizard found disconnected network." screen when running "Network Setup Wizard".

I have just installed a second copy of Windows XP. When I run the "Network
Setup Wizard" a screen entitled "The wizard found disconnected network
hardware." comes up. The screen says "The network connections listed below
are diconnected. Plug in your network cables...". One of the sevaral
network connections defined by the "Network Connections" icon in the Contol
Panel is listed. When I run the "Network Setup Wizard" on the second
installation of Windows XP on the same machine, the "Wizard found
diconnected hardware" screen does not appear. I can run Internet Explorer
and Outlook Express on both installations with full functionality.

I want to share files between computers and can't do it. The other machine
displays the "diconnected network connections' screen. What's going on?
Has the "diconnected network connections" screen got something to do with my
inability to share files? What can I do about it?

Don J
