Windows internet time synchronization

I have the required patches for the change to DST. They worked fine until the
we passed the former DST date change. Now I receive "The peer's stratum is
less than the host's stratum" diagnostic when I try to synchronize my
computer date/time online.

I just wrote this answer in another post on the same thing:

I too have been having trouble syncing with the two default's that are in
WinXP. I found time.xmission.com will work for me. To add it, just double
click your clock in the Notification Area/Taskbar Tray. Then select the
Internet Time tab. Highlight either of the defaults by clicking next to it
and just type in the time server address you want. Finally, click "Apply" and
it will be added to your drop down list. (You won't loose the defaults, the
new one will be added to the list.)

I read the other posts, however, these do not address the system advancing
DST (1 hour) at the new date and a further hour on April 1, 2007 (a total of
2 hours)! Further, the unskilled user will not be able to add/change another
time server when Microsoft has defaulted the Windows time server for
automatic updates.

A universal update that works with the existing time servers is in order.

Do you expect all Windows XP, Server 2000 and Server 2003 customers to edit
their registries???

HI kelly, Until an approve fixes the problem, there has been issues that
will sove this problem, one may have to resort to a Registry fix to
temporary slove the problem. If you are not comfotable with "muckin"
aroind in the Registry, I would then be inclined to ask for assistnce in
this.
