Default Windows Explorer Column Information Missing:

Two Questions:

1.- Is there a way to fill-in the information, under music files “column
headings” in Windows Explorer; ( eg. “Artist”, “Album Title”, “Year”, etc. )?
(Some of my music files have this detail information listed, some do not.)

2.- It seems to me that when this information is missing in Windows
Explorer, it is also missing in the various Libraries of my installed Music
Jukebox’s.

Rather, then repeatedly fill-in the information manually in each of the
Music Jukeboxes, I am guessing that if I can fill it in once in Windows
Explore, all the Jukeboxes will pick it up automatically.

Default Re: Windows Explorer Column Information Missing:

Hi ScanBat,

Right Click the mp3 File Name and Left click on Properties.

Click on the Summary Tab, and make sure the Advanced radio button is
clicked. If not, click to see the Advanced information.

Under the Value heading, click on the following to add, change, or delete
information:

For MUSIC:
o Artist
o Album Title
o Year
o Track Number
o Genre
o Lyrics

For DESCRIPTION:
o Title
o Comments

This will NOT work in any of the fields within ORIGIN and AUDIO.

As all I use is WMP 10, I can't say for sure that any other Music players --
i.e., QuickTime, Real Player, etc. -- will pick up this information, but for
sure Windows Media Player will.
