Windows Explorer no longer lists the C:\ drive. It does list the My
Documents folder under the Desktop. I recently defragged the disk and ran
chkdsk c: /f from a CMD window. Also ran chkntfs c: from a cmd window.
XP doesnt run CHKDSK C: /F in windows explorer,it requires a reboot to
run the utility.Maybe run Sfc /Scannow then CHKDSK C: /F Maybe create a
new user account after, the current account may be corrupted.

Additional Information. I can see the C:\ drive in SAFE MODE. Can also see
the CD ROM in SAFE MODE, but I can't see the CD ROM or C:\ drive in regular
mode. Using Windows Explorer to look at drives, folders, and files
