Default Wallpaper problem

Hi,

Got a simple problem, but I'm baffled... I have 3 user accounts on this
system, and everytime someone changes the wallpaper on their account, it
changes it for everyone to the same one. How do I prevent this?? I"m sure
there's a global setting or something somewhere??

TIA,

Doug

Dear Doug\

I think this problem happens due to these users have an administrator
privileges, this problem will be solved as soon as you change thier account
type from administrator account to limited account.

Hi Doug

This can happen if everyone is using the same application to set their
wallpaper, such as a web browser. Instead of being saved in the user
account, the wallpaper file is saved in a common location, so when the
next person changes their wallpaper the file is overwritten with the new
image.

MVP Ramesh has a page explaining this and gives a nifty workaround here:
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/wpcommon.htm

Hope this helps. Let us know how you get on!

You are correct!! We were using ACDSEE to set the wallpaper instead of
going into Desktop Properties and changing it. Once I went into Desktop
Properties and did it, on each account, it stuck for each individual
account...

Thanks for the help! I knew it was something simple, but the problem eluded
me for some reason

Thanks for all that replied!
