Default Is virus protect a real anti virus?

Hi, I donloaded and paid for an "anti virus" called virus protect.
It doesn't seem to do a lot and also on some file belonging to it, it only
talks about adult sites.
Thank you for a few answers.

If you used your credit card to purchase it (and if you care), call your
credit card company and ask them to send you another card with a different
number.
