Default user32.dll was relocated in memory

Hi there, I've searching this forum and also another forum about the error:

"The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not
run properly. The relocation occurred because the DLL
C:\WINDOWS\system32\SHELL32.dll occupied an address range reserved for
Windows system DLLs. THe vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a
new DLL."

But this forum mostly for RTHDCPL and HHCTRL.OCX.

You see, my error is about SHELL32.DLL and also I've applied the patch
(http://support.microsoft.com/default...b/935448/en-us) but still
received the error even I had fresh installing my Windows.

Can someone help me on this?

You have a Transition Pack like BricPack from crystalxp.net ("Vista
Inspirat") or any other Theme from a third party vendor installed?
If true, that's very likely to be the cause for the error message
you've seen. Uninstall those Packs/Themes and Windows XP is up and
running again.

Bye,

I think this confirms Freudi post.
Certain third-party applications may not start, and you receive an error message when you start the computer: "Illegal System DLL Relocation", only being the messenger here..

KB935448 fixes error messages concerning hhctrl.ocx, but _not_
those with shell32.dll.

Yes, I've BricoPack Vista Inspirat installed. I use this program almost 5-7
month. I'll try your suggestion.

Thanks!

we had this user32.dll error too and this fix worked, but I still can't get
the computer to shut down and the ZBoard still shows as not being properly
installed. Is anyone aware of other problems with this latest upgrade that
affect the shut down operation, and is there a fix?

Hey it's gone now. I reinstalled Windows. Delete partitions, hard disk and
start a fresh install of Windows. I don't install the Bricko Pack anymore.
The error don't come anymore.

I guess you're right. Bricko Pack makes the error. But I do like that theme.
Do you know how can we still use Bricko without that error?

Feel free to ask crystalxp.net for an updated version if you really feel
to "need" that.

I went CrystalXP.net:

"At the moment we do not have any miracle solution ... However, we will work
on it as soon as possible. Until we or Microsoft release some patch the
moment, you should uninstall our Bricopacks. The update is important, do not
let such a vulnerability on your PC. As soon as the bug is corrected you will
be informed.
Thanks for your comprehension and sorry for the trouble."

Well, I gues I'll have to wait.

Thanks for u all.
