Default Is there any decent free/open-source DVD-burning software for XP?

Is there any decent free/open-source DVD-burning software for XP?

I used to have Nero 6 that came with my DVD burner. Nero worked OK,
but after a while, started bothering me with "Incredible offer!"
tooltips - which was disconcerting, since I already owned a copy of
their software.

Anyway, I can't locate their CD now, so I looked at the alternatives.

InfraRecorder is open-source and kind of works (it's a graphical
interface to cdtools), but it fails for files larger than 2GB.

Another problem it has is that it saves the huge temporary *.iso to
disk before burning it (this can be bad on small laptop hard drives)

I think the built-in Microsoft DVD burning software suffers from the
same problem (Nero did NOT create large temporaries, btw).

Any recommendations? I'd be willing to run stuff form the command
line, if necessary.

Two that I have used are DeepBurner (free version) from
http://www.deepburner.com/?r=download and CDBurnerXP from
http://cdburnerxp.se/. Both seem to be pretty good. I wasn't concerned
about temp files so don't know for sure how either handles the temp iso
files, though I thought there was an option on whether to save to HD
first or burn straight to CD/DVD.

My favorite, by far, is ImgBurn.

http://www.imgburn.com/

Something with a more "friendly" interface is CDBurnerXP Pro.

Take a look at the StarBurn. Completely free CD/DVD & Blu-Ray/HD-DVD
burner from
Rocket Division Software. You can read more about it here:

www.rocketdivision.com/starburn.html

Good luck & happy burning!

-Ichiro

P.S. At least few of the tools guys are recommending are build on the
top of the StarBurn SDK
