what is a test recover and how do you perfrom one?

You pick a folder that contains a substantial amount of information,
then you use your backup program to recover this folder from
your backup medium. Make sure to specify an alternative
destination in order not to overwrite the original.

BTW, since this looks like a follow-on from your previous post,
it would have been much better to to stick with that thread
instead of starting a new one.
