Default system restore fails every time

i cannot use system restore. it's turned on, i have restore points but when i
try to do a restore the computer restarts and i get a message saying the
restore failed and that nothing would be changed. there is no error message
other than that. can someone help me? thanks

if you are using ZoneAlarm it will cause system restore to fail to restore.
uninstall ZA and then attempt a restore, then re-install ZA

Hi,

Let's see if System Restore will function in Safe Mode.

Boot into Safe Mode and perform a test restore using the following link.
