What's Up!!!!.
It depend on how much Disk space you have and what your Surfing habits are?.
You will get lots of opinions from MVPs or Non-MVPs each will recommend a
Program, so how that will help you!!!. ONLY get you to a confusion!!!.
Best outside there to my Knowledge are:
Free
Avast
AVG
Avira
BIT Defender
Those are only AV not a complete Security suite, you will need a Firewall
with any of them to be secure from hacker and other malicious attacks, like:
ZA
Comodo
Kerio
Commercial (in Alphabet order):
Avast
AVG
Bit Defender
CA
F-secure
Kaspersky
Mcafee
Norton
Panda
Sophos
Trend Micro
etc...
Again, all of these will not help if you don't practice safe Hex with common
sense in dealing with security on your System.
HTH.

An MVP is a Microsoft, Most Valued Professional.
I was going to answer the OP's question but he wanted an answer from an MVP
only...
so I guess I will not offer my advice.
I am both a Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher and have also had 32 years
experience as a (now) Senior Service Engineer...
but am not an MVP.
I think it interesting to note that I don't think even Bill Gates is an
MVP...
Oh well. <G>

1. I recommend Avast!
2. It is foolish of you to limit your request to MVPs only. MVPs are
individuals. As individuals, we each have our own strengths and
weaknesses and our different opinions. I like Avast!; other MVPs will
have different preferences. There are lots of other folks here who are
not MVPs who also have excellent knowledge and opinions. Every MVP was
once not an MVP, and none of us suddenly knew everything the day we
got the title.

"I don't think even Bill Gates is an MVP"
And he can't be an MVP under the current rules, just like other
Microsoft employees can not.
It is one or the other, not both.
When an MVP becomes a Microsoft employee, they are no longer an MVP.

No Microsoft employee is an MVP. If an MVP is hired by Microsoft, he
loses his MVP status.

Excuse me, but this is my first time on ANY type of discussion. So, I have no
answer, just another question. No one has recommended "Windows Live One
Care". I purchased that program, but have not installed it yet. Is there a
problem with it?
