Startup Problem?

I've never seen this happen before this week. When I start up my
computer (XP Pro) I get a blue screen that says Please Wait..........
the dots keep appearing until it goes to the next screen which takes
me to my log-in.

What causes this, my computer used to turn and go to log-in screen in
a blink of an eye, now I sit here staring at it.

there are "too many"
variables to say.

what i suggest is for you
to create a system restore point
for today.

then reboot into safemode
and use the system restore
feature to restore to a date
before the issue started.

if the old restore point resolves
the issue, then this is a clue.

on the other hand,
if the old restore point does not
resolve the issue, then it might
be disk system related error or
a faulty component. however,
you can restore your computer
to today's date, if you think it
is needed.

afterwards you will likely need a
windows cd to use the recovery
console or "repair" your windows.
