Default Startup

I want to minimize my folder and add it to startup so the name of the folder
appears in the taskbar on startup. Thanks

Place a shortcut to the folder in one of the startup folders:
D:\Documents and Settings\<Username>\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
D:\Documents and Settings\<All Users>\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Go into the properties of this shortcut and set it to run minimized.

Thanks, but this is not what I'm looking to do. This method includes the
folder along w/the name of the folder. The method I'm looking for will only
show the name of the folder. Thanks again.

If you create an icon that has My Folder on it then you just drag it to the task bar.

Ok, what you want is to put a shortcut to the folder on the Quicklaunch bar.
Create the shortcut and drag it to the quicklaunch bar.

Unable to drag and drop folder into taskbar. I thought that went out
w/Win98. I've never been able to drag and drop in to Quicklaunch

You don't drag it to the taskbar, but it can be placed on the quick launch
bar. Unlock the taskbar first or use windows explorer and drag it into the
quick launch folder.

\Documents and Settings\<Username>\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Quick Launch

I'm using Windows XP and I can drag shortcuts to the Taskbar-Quick launch area, what ever you might call it.
The area next to the Start button. I'm assuming you want to put a short cut there.
Good luck
