Standby Mode Turns off Monitor, but not Hard Drive

I recently installed a bunch of Windows updates. After I did this, my
notebook wouldn't completely shut down when I went into Standy Mode. The
monitor shuts off, but the hard drive doesn't turn off. Any idea what to do?
