Default Slipstream Resolution: Hardware

Just thought I'd let you guys know the reason for convoluted problem with
moving the drive, installing SP2 in slipstream style and getting 'hard disk
error' was likely the new motherboard failing. The power supply that came
with the case had the wrong pin configuration, so I used an older one that
has apprently cooked the mother board just enough to get 'hard disk error' on
every drive I tried to upgrade, even with an original win2000 disk. I moved
it back to old system (had to do the upgrade again, in reverse) and it
worked. So, alas, back on the '97 Dell, but the data is intact. I guess you
can call it a successful retreat!
