New Video Card on Dual Boot

Currently Dual Boot with Win98SE and Win XP Pro.

I am considering a new video card.

I would guess I would install the new Video Card on the Win98SE and the WIN
XP will aumatically recognize the new card.

Am I correct in my thoughts?

It depends on whether XP has the drivers for it or not. You might need to
manually install them. Make sure whatever card you get there are both
Win98SE drivers and XP drivers.

I don't think so, no. You'll most likely have to install the
OS-specific drivers for each OS, as the video card is much newer, by
several years, then either OS. Neither on is likely to recognize the
new card on its own.

Go to the video card maker's website and seek instructions on how to install
the video card hardware-wise. Then, look up how to install for each
operating system. There may be no support for 98SE.

There may be an deinstallation routine to follow if the old one is an ATI
card.

I emailed the Graphics company and was informed that yes, drivers must be
installed on both operating systems.

You're learning. Are there drivers available for both operating systems
from their website?
