Default New Hardward Wizard opens at boot up for USB Video Adapter VA11A

I am using a Compaq Presario SR1710NX with Windows XP and SP2.
I have a X10 Wireless Camera System hooked into my computer. Included with
the system is a X10 USB Digital Video Converter. Even though I have
installed the software for the Converter, and it is working just fine, each
and every time that I boot up my computer, the New Hardware Wizard opens up,
and wants me to install the software for the particular piece of hardware.
I have to close the New Hardware Wizard every time, because if I try to
install what it wants me to install (which is already installed), I end up
with the "Blue Screen of Death", and have to do a hard shutdown on my
computer and boot up again. Of course the same Wizard pops up when I boot
up again.
Does anyone have any idea at all of what to do about this annoying problem?
