Is there a way to make a list of startup items that I've checked to start up?
If I disable or enable all the startup items, it's hard to reconstruct the
list because the names of the files don't necessarily reveal which programs
they activate. I sometimes take a screen capture of the items I have
checked, but there must be a better way of doing it.

That was my choice. I have seen Tuneup Utilities 2008 and it has check
boxes. As well as others. So all you do is just check/uncheck. Not
sure what program you are using or how you are trying to stop them.
