Default Links won't open in IE 6 SR2

please tell me how to fix things so that links in IE will open when I click
on them. I've tried to use "Enter," as well but nothing's working. Have OE
6; IE6 with SR2, all updates current. Using WF, Avast, ad-aware, and Spybot.
Nothing has showed up on latter except for minor items.

Thank you very much.

A few things to try:

Get hyperlinks in OE to open IE:
http://www.oehelp.com/ielnk.aspx

Fix file associations for LNK, URL, HTTP and any other pertinent extensions.
