Default Intel DG33BU motherboard

I am not able to install Windows XP SP1 on Intel DG33BU motherboard
with Intel Duo-Core 1.6 GHz CPU and Seagate SATA disk. I've tried
different settings in BIOS like lowering memory speed from 800MHz to
667, setting HD interface to IDE, but setup always crashes. Crash
happens in the second phase, after the initial blue screen text mode
completes.

I've managed to install Linux on the same machine.

Some advice ?

DG

Get an SP2 CD, or try slipstreaming SP2 into the disk you have. The SP1
disc is very old, and will not have drivers for your chipset, or SATA
drivers. If you are using IDE legacy mode, the SATA problem will not be an
issue, so it will be the chipset driver problem most likely.

Thanks. According to Intel support site, older XP has problems with
PCIExpress video cards.
