Default installing new sata disk

just for those interested, I recently installed a new WD sata drive and it
was just after having to newly install my OS, I never did install the sata
drivers for windows, however the BIOS does support SATA both INTEL and the
Gigabyte (my MB maker).
and windows found the new drive just fine.
