IE7 and Quicktime movie

Hi,
I was trying to watch a Newtek Lightwave tutorial using their ftp to
download the quicktime movie, unfortunately, my Internet Explorer 7 would not
play the movie, instead I got a big grayed out "Q" icon in the center of my
web page.
Could any one help me solving this problem please, I am using XP SP3 on my
machine.

Downloaded the current version of Quicktime from Apple and installed it?
Start Quicktime, locate the folder where the QT movie is stored and open
it.

Why don't you simply save the movie to your HD and open it in Quicktime
directly instead of in IE7?

Hi Allan,
Yeah I suppose I can download it and save it on my HD, however, just curious
why can't I open the quicktime movie directly in my IE7 while my friends
could do it on their IE7's.
Any way, if I store the movies on my HD, they will take up space.

Not if you delete them once you're finished viewing them. Or if you want
to keep them, invest in another hard drive; they're fairly cheap these
days.

Quicktime will still have to be installed in IE7 as a plug-in, even
to be viewed as streaming video.
