Default Icon on task bar the simply will not go away

My son tried one of these free spyware scans. It made by a company called
SZpylocked out in Rigva, Latvia. Since I told him that he should not have
bother with because I have plenty of anti spyware software. I proceeded to
delete the folder from my progran files and also deleted it from where I
found it in the registry. However, despite all this and not being able to
find it anywhere else on my computer, there is an Icon which it left on my
taskbar which has a message pop up every fifteen minutes or so warning me
that "system has detected a number of anti spyware applications on your
computer. Click here to correct this situation" Once you click on it all it
does is to open up there web page. This goes on no matter if I am connected
to the internet or not, the box pops up every 10 to 15 minutes. Anyone have
an idea on how I can give rid of this?
I tried reinstalling and then removing the free scan but the Icon is still
with the pop up messsage. I have sent many e-mails to the company but no
response.

Chances are it also left lots of spyware on your pc as well. Next time,
stick with reliable sources.
