Default How to get rid of shockwave updater icon?

The icon appeared over next to the time display and I can't
determine how to get rid of it. I removed it from the start
up list but when I later rebooted it had returned. The icon
does not respond to either a left or right mouse click.

I don't want to remove shockwave, I just want to declutter
the desktop.

Win XP (media center edition)

thanks

wave, exit. Also, open display properties, customize, web, chk the box "lock
