Default How to attach a file to Startup?

I would like to attach a file, Reminder.wps, to the Startup Menu. I had it
for years but after a reformat, forgot how to do it.

I tried to "Move" the file to Startup but it's another program that shows up
similar to Window Explorer, PowerDesk. I guess it was the wrong way.

Thank you

What are you wanting to happen with the reminder.wps file? Do you want the
letter to open when the PC is booted? If so, right click the file and
create a shortcut. Right click the shortcut and select cut. Right click
the start button and select Explore. Double click on Programs, right click
on Startup and select paste. If you want something different, you need to
specify exactly what it is.

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, it's exactly what I wanted. I did as instructed but the file did not
come on. A certain program came on instead, Power Desk from VCom. I checked
"Startup" and I can see "Shortcut to Reminder.lnk"

It appears the file association for .wps is wrong. Do you have MS Works
installed on your PC? If so, right click the .wps file, select "open with
choose program," select MS Works and mark the box to always use the program.

And this is a follow up on the above reply:

Start, R click, I noticed a shortcut for Power Desk. Tried to delete it.
Impossible.

And this is my 2nd email:

I R clicked on Start and noticed a shortcut for Power Desk on
