Default how to add action to file type

Hello,

Having trouble with my URL:mailto protocol. When i go to Folder
Options/File Types and select URL:mailto, then select advanced to
change, the file type box opens but there is nothing in the actions
area. I select 'new' and create an 'open' cmd with MS Outlook as the
program to open, then click OK but the data doesn't seem to be saved
as it is blank again when i click "advanced' again. Any advice
appreciated, thanks, jimmy

Open Start Menu, click "Set program access and defaults", and change the
default program. Close, open again, and select Outlook again. Also try
this:

Send To Mail Recipient option does nothing

Long story short, my permissions for the 'mailto' reg key were
clobbered, reset them using..
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/MailtoProtocol.htm

Was then able to import a mailto reg file which fixed everything, this
file works for XP Home Edition,OutLook & IE7.

Everything is working and i backed my registry up already!!! jimmy
