I am getting this applicaton error in my event viewer (below) and was
wondering if i replace heat.bin or ntdl.dll , neither or both or what.

Hi Larry,
Do you have a burning Software like Nero or other products?, if yes try to
Uninstall it and then run Disk Clean Up and Defrag in Safe mode then
reinstall it again.
Also make sure you back up your data which saved in a folder for that
application before going a head and uninstalling it.
