Freeware boot backup, suggest app plz

I just reinstalled winXP from factory back up DVD, I would like to
create a fresh DVD backup once i update winXP and install all 3rd
party soft. I have DVD burner to do the backup but need a suggestion
of a good FREEWARE backup utility that I could download. Thanks ahead.
I did a backup before with a shareware utility but its been a while
back so that back up turned up to be unusable. Any freeware
suggestions?

try BartsPE
and add in the
pluggin for
DriveImageXML

then use DriveImageXML
to make you disk images.
