Default Found New Hardware: USB-Serial?

good day all,

I have just rebooted my computer, didn't make any changes and got the
message that "found new Hardware". I don't know what the USB-Serial is
referring too? How can I find out?

Thanks,

brook

I have a serial-to-USB converter connected to my external modem.

Its entry in the device manager is under the "Ports" category.
