Default fire wall protection

I tried to turn on my firewall,went to my network places,properties,and
clicked what it said to click,and a error message came up,saying I cannot use
firewall at this time or something like that,how can I fix this mess!!!

you can enable "windows firewall"
start > run > services.msc

Phil, try going to Control Panel>WindowsFirewall Icon. Click on Turn off
Firewall. Restart and reverse the procedure.

Download and run the following batch file, then reboot
http://www.mediafire.com/?fzumw2ujmoi

This will reset your windows firewall and should allow you to enable
it.
