Default files waiting to be written to a cd

I have some files (photo) that I tried to drag and drop to a cd. They didn't
copy to the cd, instead I was given the message that I needed to insert a cd.
One was already there. When I closed that out, the file went somewhere that
I can't find now. I have looked everywhere and can't find them so I can
delete them. I am tired of the message every time I boot up "You have files
waiting to be written to a cd" and I want to get rid of it. I went around
the drag and drop and copied the files using my Easy CD creator program.

Default RE: files waiting to be written to a cd

HI,

This is your problem right :

When a you log on to Windows XP Home or Professional Editions, you receive a
ballon help message from an icon in the system tray that says:

You have files waiting to be written to the CD.
To see the files now, click below.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> <><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
*** Resolution ***

This behavior is by design. Files used to burn the CD are stored in the
user's
profile, specifically:

\Documents and Settings\<username>\local settings\application
data\microsoft\cd
burning

If the Application Data folder is not visible, the user may have to choose
Tools |
Folder Options | View tab and select to 'Show hidden files and folders'.
These
files may be in use, hidden or otherwise inaccessible if the file system is
NTFS
and security permissions have not been properly defined. It may be necessary
to
view the properties of the files and folders and re-apply permissions using
the
Security tab in the Properties property sheet.

Let me know if this helped you in solving the problem.
