Default FDD roaring noise on powering up Windows XP

Hi!
How to avoid this sound of FDD when the Windows are already finished with
booting. It is boring and slowing the starting time of use!
I had a two roaring sound of the FDD in interval of 10 sec.
In BIOS the option of FDD seaking is disabled.

Thanks!

I haven't had a FDD in years, but I remember it would always seek if I
had a disk in and the computer crashed and I removed it when I
rebooted. After that I always just kept one in.

Perhaps you have your anti-virus software set to check the floppy drive?

Good idea for antivirus because I forgot after lot of instalations of
this programs that it scan also FDD.
Suggestion with flopy in it helped in that way that the roaring sound
is missed but not and the lights!

Thanks!
