Default Fax program will not convert docs to tiff

Using XP Pro and Office 2003 fully updated. With a doc, wpd, or pdf open and
attempting to send any of them as a fax, erratically the conversion process
will run sucessfully. Other times, the conversion to tiff starts but the
program bar disappears before finishing, leaving no error. I have rebooted
(no change) and also uninstalled and reinstalled fax program several times.
Modem has latest driver.
Any thoughts?

Smiff75,

Is it WinFaxPro you are using as you haven't stated? If so, contact Symantec
Support

http://www.symantec.com/home_homeoff...ed.jsp?pid=all

Its discontinued now though so I am not sure if they support it - should do

It is MS Fax, as close to default as I can make it.
