Default Error message: Windows cannot find file <name of file>

I keep getting this message when I open an Access file using a shortcut on
the desktop. The file is actually there - I just get the message, and then
click ok but eh fiule is actually found and it opens. I do not get the
message if I use Windows Explorer, navigate to the file and then open it.
Also, it seems that the error only occurs when I use a shortcut to open
Access files - it does not occur when I use a shortcut to open a Word
document.

Which of you brilliant people can help? Is this a Windows XP problem or an
Access problem?

Hi Bill,
The pointer for the file may be missing or set wrong, try to delete the
shortcut and create a new one for it.

Another right click the Start Button and select properties >> click Start
menu Tab then click on Advanced Tab and click on the Clear history of the
most recent Docs.
Reboot your machine and try the shortcut, is it working okay?.
HTH.

I tried both those solutions and neither fix the problem. I Also moved the
directory and tried setting up a new shortcut there. Still no go. FYI I can
set up shortcuts to other types of files in the same directory. These
shortcuts do not have the same problem. Anyone?
