Running Windows XP media center edition with a PHILIPS DVD+-RW DVD8701 drive,
been running DVDs fine for a year and one day I open up Media Center and boom:
"Decoder Error
The video decoder has either malfunctioned or is not installed. Please
restard media center and/or the computer."
This happens for all DVDs and all other programs I use except for 3rd party
trial crap I pulled off the shady side of the internet. Anyone have an idea
why this came about now and how I can fix it?
The "add hardware" troubleshooter gives me a list of venders that sell
decoders but I don't WANT a new decoder, I want the one in my computer.
