Sorry to jump in like this but I have been trying to start a new thread and
when I click on new and question it doesnt do anything. Iam new to this and
have been trying to ask questions but the window will not open for me so I
can ask a question. I apologize for jumping in on this post but this is the
only way I could ask how to ask questions if the question link doesnt work.

You might want to abandon the webnews-for-dummies interface which
Microsoft uses to pretend they have forums but is actually a gateway to
Usenet (newsgroups). Instead use an NNTP (network news transfer
protocol) client, like Outlook Express, Windows Live Mail, Thunderbird,
Xnews, Xananews, Dialog, or another with more robust features and
designed specifically for newsgroups. Even Microsoft has their help
article on how to access their newsgroups using a real newsreader:

Your POP-UP blocker is interfering, hold down the CTRL key while you
click "new".

In that case, hit "H" to see OP's message headers.

You can then see what program is being used.

You can leave the blocker on, and just use the CTRL + click to bypass it
if it is an infrequent need.
