Default Disk Installation Problem

I've been running this software on my other computer for years. I am trying
to install Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002 Professional Edition disks (3) on
a new DELL DIMENSION 9100. On the machine in question, I have Windows XP with
the McAfee Security Center package. I don't have any problems with the
loading and installation of the first disk. After Disk #1 is successfully
loaded/installed completed, its asks for Disk #2. I load Disk #2 and it will
not read. The engine runs with a flashing green LCD light which is normal,
but then it will wind down and nothing happens. The system will then freeze
in which I leave it in that condition upwards of 30 minutes before giving up
and shutting down. I've run a scan on the problem Disk which doesn't show any
indication of a bad Disk. I've even tried loading in different Disk bays but
nothing seems to get the second Disk to run. Seems strange since the first
Disk runs ideally and I can't attest for whether this will happen to Disk #3
since I can't get that far.

Any suggestions? Many Thanks for your help.
