Default Different download speeds

i have two different pc's sharing an internet connection. when i run
an internet speed test from zdnet.com.au i get very different results
on each computer.
one gets an adverage of 3000kbps the other up to 14500kbps any resaon
why one pc is slower than the other.

im sharing the connection and its not a client/server setup so i dont
know why there is such a big difference.

any help would be great.

thanks heaps

All sorts of possible reasons, Network Card ( it's speed ), TCP/IP
tunings, Network Offload enabled (?). Without hardware details it's
not possible to give you a definitive reason. You should run a TCP
settings analysis and compare the two results.
