Default Coming out of hibernation, mouse selects more than one item

I've seen this on two different computers here at home (nothing in
common between them either except the OS). When these computers comes
out of hibernation mode, it is like you are holding the shift key when
you click on an item on the desktop or from Explorer. As more than one
item is selected. Rebooting clears this up. TIA

Hello,

Might be the Sticky Keys

Start > Control Panel > Accessibility Options > UNCHECK Use Sticky Keys >
Settings > UNCHECK Use Shortcut

Also try hitting the LShift once and see if it goes away.
