Clipboard stops working

I am running XP SP2. The clipboard works for a while, then it stops working.
I can't copy and paste anymore (as if it got filled up). If I restart the
computer, the clipboard works for a while, but then stops working. I have
searched but cannot find this problem discussed. Is anyone familiar with
this? Thanks...
