I'm using Windows XP Pro SP-2 with all current updates.
Windows XP Pro SP2 and an iMac G5 are on my home network. A wired LinkSys
router connects my home network to the Internet.
I can access the Internet for FTP and VPN, but in both Internet Explorer 7.0
and Firefox 2.0.0.14 nothing returns when accessing web sites. The browser
indicators just spin and eventually display a page saying the server could
not be found.
Also, I cannot access my router's page to check its settings.
I disabled the McAfee Firewall, Symantec Enterprise Client, and SpyEraser.
But that had no affect.
My wife's iMac G5 displays Web pages okay. So the router is probably okay.
I'm stumped. Does anyone have any ideas what else I can try?
Start -> Run -> type cmd -> type ipconfig /release -> type ipconfig /flushdns
-> type ipconfig /renew
All of this is only valid if the networkcard is enabled.
Check within your network setting if indeed the networkcard is enabled. If
not enable it.
